Ideally, it’s best to start at least a year before any important education or career decision needs to be made.

For instance, if you are in 9th grade and have to choose a stream or course after 10th, the mentoring should begin before you start 10th grade. Similarly, if you want to make a decision for stream selection post-8th, it is advisable to start the session when you begin your 8th-grade studies.
